This was such a fabulously fun card to make. At first glance, it looks like it might be difficult but it’s one of the easiest shaker cards I have ever made. The die set has so many dies in it and it gives you multiple ways to use it. The instructions are clear and easy to follow too. The matching stamp set has lots of great sayings to add to your cards. I highly recommend you create this Valentine Shaker Card for your loved ones on Valentines Day. You’ll love it as much as I do! Have fun~ Lisa

Supplies for Valentine Shaker Card

Check out the full list of supplies at the end of this post.

Step One:

Use the die for the base card to cut out two pieces of the heart patterned paper. Run the top piece through the die cutting machine with the large oval die. Next, die cut the “bottom” of the gumball machine from the pink dotted patterned paper. Die cut the “top” from red cardstock and then die cut the handle and the flap from silver cardstock. Lastly, die cut the small gumball slot from black cardstock (not shown in photo).

NOTE: If the patterned paper is thin, use a spray adhesive to adhere white cardstock to the back before die cutting.

Step Two:

Using a black inkpad, stamp the gumball cluster and the single gumball. Color images with chalk pencils and add some sparkle to the images a glitter pen.

Step Three:

Stamp the heart and sayings onto different colors of cardstock with a black inkpad.

Step Four:

Cut out the gumball cluster with scissors. Use the dies to cut out the hearts and single gumballs.

Step Five:

Cut 8 pieces of fun foam 3/8″ x 5″ and 3/8″ x 2 3/4″. Adhere four pieces together creating two piles of each size.

Step Six:

Cut two pieces of window plastic 3 1/2″ x 5 1/4″. Using double-sided tape, adhere each pile of foam paper onto one piece of window plastic.

Step Seven:

Adhere the window plastic to the front of the card with double-sided tape. Fill with hearts, gumballs (not shown) and candy confetti. Apply doubled-sided tape to the foam paper pieces and place second window plastic on top. Place the gumball cluster to the back of the window plastic with the back facing you. Cut another piece of patterned paper, (I used one with the word LOVE all over it), 3 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and adhere to the back piece of the card. To finish the card, adhere the front and back of the card together. Turn the card over and adhere the rest of the elements to the front of the card. See the finished card photo for placement if needed. Shake it up and have a giggle!!!
