Liquid Sculpey has been around for a while now and I hate to admit it, but this was the first time I have ever used it. Well, that is about to change! I had so much fun playing with this product and I was amazed at how easy it is to use. Since I was a newbie when I started this project I wanted to create something that was easy and this Summertime Fun frame was just the project for a first timer. But…stayed tuned because it won’t be the last! I hope you give it a try. Have fun! Lisa~

Supplies for Summertime Fun Frame

Steps One, Two, Three:

Begin the project by gathering all of the supplies and a craft mat to cover your work area. For the mermaid tail, I used the Clear Liquid Sculpey. After stirring the Liquid Sculpey in a cup, pour a small amount in a plastic spoon, add a few drops of a re-inker and mix. Pour into the mold and add some glitter flakes. Use a toothpick to mix around the glitter flakes in the mold. Remove excess Liquid Sculpey with a squeegee.

Note: A plastic squeegee comes in the packages of Liquid Sculpey.

Steps Four, Five, Six:

Repeat the process with different colors of the Liquid Sculpey. Add micro beads, glitters, small beads etc. Place the mold into an oven for 30 minutes. Bake Clear Liquid Sculpey at 300 degrees and others at 275 degrees. Remove from the oven, let cool, and remove from the mold. Cut off any stray Liquid Sculpey with scissors. Measure around the inside and outside of the frame. Cut three pieces of twine and braid together for both the inside and outside of the frame.

Steps Seven:

To finish, adhere patterned paper to the frame with tape runner. Cut a piece of netting and attach to the frame with glue gun. Apply moss, mold pieces and word sticker to the frame. Adhere the raffia braids around the inside and outside of the frame. See the photo for placement if needed.
