Note: Join me on Wednesday, June 10th at 10:00 am PST for Part 2 of this project. I’ll be creating a funky wristlet to go along with my cell phone case.

Steps One, Two, Three:

Lay the case on top of white cardstock and trace around it with a pencil. Cut it out jus inside the pencil line. This will be your pattern.

Place the pattern onto a piece of patterned paper, trace it, and cut it out. If you’re using double-sided paper make sure the side you want to be seen is facing out.

Stamp the images out on White cardstock with a Black inkpad.

Steps Four, Five:

Add color to the stamped images with watercolor pencils and cut them out.

Use a White paint pen to add accent dots on the images, and then adhere the rhinestones to the center of the flowers. To finish, place the images onto Black cardstock and cut around leaving a slight border. Apply color around the edges of the patterned paper with a Pink inkpad and a blending brush. Adhere the images to the patterned paper and other embellishments as desired. Place the paper into the case, and then put the phone inside. Hang some fibers and a charm on the outside of the case for an extra touch of fun!
