Hello friends, Martha Lucia here with you today sharing one of my cards for spring. I made this using the soft color of this season as inspiration. To create this layout I used a Coffee Mug stencil as a base. Let me show you.

JUST FOR YOU: STENCIL AND EMBOSSING

The base of my card is a regular size, 4-1/4″ x 11″ with score line in the middle or 5-1/2″, the color is Very Vanilla. The second layer is Wisteria Wonder color of 4-1/8″x 5-3/8″ and I made a dry embossing over this using the Crackle Embossing Folder from Darice. I pasted this layer over the base card using dimensionals or double sided foam tape to enhance the embossing. Then I took a piece of Very Vanilla card stock and the first layer of the Coffee Mug stencil from Rebecca Baers Inc. and secured it over my mat to start the inking process.

JUST FOR YOU: STENCIL AND EMBOSSING

First I inked the borders with Pear Pizzazz Classic Ink. Then, I removed this layer of the stencil and added the second layer on the same position to give the colors inside of the mug. I inked this part with Sahara Sand, Blushing Bride and Wisteria Wonder Classic Ink using the Clarity Brushes, but you can also use any sponge or blending tool if you don’t have brushes or don’t want to use them.

After I inked the base and without moving the stencil, I stamped some branches included in the stamp set Heartsong 2 by Skipping Stones Designs using Pear Tart Memento Luxe Ink and Clear Embossing Powder from Imagine Crafts. I melted the powder with the heat tool and the images really pop up over the mug. I made the same stamping process, with the sentiment Just for You, I only changed the color of ink by Memento Luxe Pistachio Ink.

As a final touch and to enhance the dry embossing design I cut in diagonal the very vanilla layer and added some gloss Crushed Grape Crystal Drops to the right side of the layer.

I hope you enjoyed my project. You can see more of my creations in my blog Stampartpapel. See you soon!!!
