Everyone can use a little encouragement now and again, right?  This beautiful magnetic board, designed by artist Marjolaine Walker, is the perfect way to display words of affirmation, favorite inspirational quotes and more.  This is a great idea and we give it two thumbs up.

Hello Bella Crafts friends, Marjolaine here to show you a magnetic encouragement board that I made to give myself a daily boost . While I’m working on some creative goals it’s good to pick a card everyday and remind myself to keep going. The quotes I chose help me to remember to be myself, dream big, expect great things, never give up and lots of other awesome advice.

Since I prefer not to waste, I used some products that would otherwise end up in the trash to go along with a new magnetic metal sheet. I had a stack of outdated magnetic business cards as well as a box of plain business cards. They worked perfectly for this project. And if you’re like me, you probably have some pretty napkins stashed away somewhere just waiting to be used on a crafty idea!

Instructions:

Step One: Remove the two bottom layers of the napkins and adhere the top layer to the metal sheet using decoupage medium both over and under the napkins. Add layers as needed to cover any area that you’re not pleased with. Set the sheet aside to dry.

Step Two: Punch two holes at the top of the metal sheet with a Big Bite Crop-A-Dile. You will need to apply strong pressure to punch through the metal.

Step Three: Pass the ribbon ends through the holes and tie them behind the sheet.

Step Four: Embellish around the board with gems.

Step Five: Add gems around the ribbon holes.

Step Six: Use ink to stamp the words daily encouragement on cardstock .

Step Seven: Cut out each letter and adhere them to the board.

Step Eight: Adhere the fronts of old business cards to the tops of the magnetic cards. Write or type motivational quotes on them. If you don’t have these supplies you can use cardstock and adhere a magnet to the back.
