Halloween is and always will be a big deal in my house! We love to have Scary Movie Night, go to the pumpkin patch, and make crafty projects to decorate the house. All of these things, along with others, are fun traditions that continues with my grandkids. This quick and easy Coffin Shaker Card will be one of the projects my youngest granddaughter and I are making next weekend. I can’t wait! I hope you try this card for yourself. Have fun! Lisa~

Supplies for Coffin Shaker Card

Check out the end of this post for the complete supply list

Steps One, Two, Three:

Cut a piece of window plastic 4 1/4″ W x 8 1/2″ H. Lay the coffin die on the plastic and trace it with a stylus tool. Cut the shape out, leaving a 1/4″ border all around. Miter all the corners to make it easier to fold.

Die cut the coffin twice with black cardstock and once with black glitter paper.

Adhere the two cardstock pieces together with 1/8″ double-sided tape and place them inside the plastic piece. Do not remove the liner from the tape yet.

Steps Four, Five, Six:

Use the double-sided tape to adhere the black glitter paper to the outside of the plastic piece.

Using another piece of black cardstock, die cut the tree, the cross and the RIP letters. Next, cut the coffin from silver glitter paper, the cross from patterned paper and the RIP letter from lavender cardstock.

Adhere the tree and letters to the silver glitter paper as shown.

Steps Seven, Eight, Nine:

Remove the tape liner from step three and adhere the coffin pieces together, leaving the bottom open to add the confetti to the inside. Once the confetti is in adhere the bottoms together. NOTE: You can also use a glue gun in place of the tape.

Cut the card base from black cardstock 7 3/4″ W x 9″ H and fold it in half. Next, cut the black and white patterned paper slightly smaller than the card base. Adhere the two pieces together. Pull the gray gauze apart and attach it to the card front with glue.

To finish the card, apply the shaker to the card base with glue. Create a bow with black and purple satin ribbons and attach to the card base. Adhere the two crosses together slightly off to create a shadow. Attach the spiders to the bow and cross as shown in the finished photo.
