Easy Patriotic Paint Pouring PIN

This is just to much fun!

Here’s how to make your own:

Steps One, Two:

Gather all of your supplies. I decided to try Plaid’s Pre-Mixed Pouring Paint, a real time saver since it is ready to go.

Paint wood canvas and sides with acrylic paint. Let dry. This step can be skipped if desired as the paint pouring covers very well.

Steps Three, Four, Five, Six:

Pour swirls of paint directly onto the canvas. Unfortunately, I missed the photo of this step, you can go in swirls, lines, whatever you desire.

Next, lift and move the canvas, over a tray to capture excess paint and keep the mess to a minimum.

Rotate in all directions to get full coverage, being sure to cover the edges.

Continue turning and rotating the canvas in all directions. Add more paint if needed or desired.

Step Seven:

Once your happy with the way it looks, place it on some cups, to keep it off the work surface. Let it dry.

Designer Tips:

  • Cover your work surface with newspaper, craft paper or an inexpensive plastic tablecloth. This will make for easy clean-up.
  • The paint will still keep moving so do not be surprised if it continues to change.
  • Add more of one color or all of the colors as desired.
  • This is so much fun, be prepared to work on several pieces when you have the supplies out.
  • Use the excess paint in the foil pan to paint marbled rocks or other items.
