Making a stunning piece of jewelry does not need to be complicated. In this Boho Turquoise Cross Necklace tutorial I will show how incorporating pre-made components with other items, will give you a beautiful design. Next time you are at your favorite craft store’s bead section, take another look at these slider beads, they are full of design possibilities. Another alternative is to use a vintage button or cluster earring in place of the slider bead.

2. Cut approximately 5 inches of bronze wire. You will be making a double wrapped loop. Make the first wrapped loop. Load beads on the wire in the following order: Rhinestone spacer, round bead, spacer. Next, make a wrapped loop, but before starting the wrap, add the cross pendant top ring to the loop. Make the wrapped loop, trim and tuck the end.

3. Remove 4 bead links from the beaded chain, by opening the links, do not cut the links. Set beads aside. Make 2 equal sections of the remaining beaded chain. Again do not cut the links, use round nose pliers to open the link and reclose them.

5. To make 4 bead drops: load bead onto headpin and make a wrapped loop. Repeat for all 4 beads set aside in previous step. Using a 4mm jumpring add three bead baubles to the link on the top of cross pendant.

6. Add 4mm jumprings to the end link on the beaded chain. Make sure the chains are exactly the same on both sides, see picture. Open etched jumpring; add both sections of chain using previous jumpring and the top wrapped loop in step #2.

7. Cut the brass ox chain into 2 equal sections. Open the end loop on the beaded chain and add the end link of chain. Close loop. Repeat for opposite side. Use 4mm round jumpring to add clasp to one side of the chain. Use last jumpring to add remaining bead bauble to opposite end.

*Note to adjust the overall length of this necklace you can add/ remove either of the chains.
