Shaker cards are a blast to create and have always been a favorite of mine from all of the interactive type cards. Watching the confetti inside coming to life with a simple shake of the card always puts a smile on my face. And now they are easier than ever to make with the new plastic covers on the market! If you’ve never tried to make a shaker because you felt to intimidated, you should put those fears aside and make one. Once you do, you’ll be hooked! Trinity Stamps has everything you need to create this Whimsical Slimline Shaker card and a die set to make the envelope too! Have fun! Lisa~

Steps One, Two, Three:
Stamp the gnomes and the flowers on a piece of Masking Magic and cut them out.
Using a black inkpad, stamp the images on a 3 1/2″H x 8 1/2″W piece of white cardstock.
Cover the image of the gnomes with the Masking Magic cutout and stamp the flowers above the gnomes. Remove the Masking Magic cutout.
Steps Four, Five, Six:
Place the flower Masking Magic cutout on the flowers and stamp the bird. Remove the Masking Magic.
Color the images with watercolor pencils and add some blue to the background with the blue inkpad and blending brush. Spray the images with a sealer.
Remove the protective sheet on the shaker cover. Apply double-sided tape around the cover leaving one end open and adhere it to the cardstock. Fill the cover with confetti, and then apply the tape to the last portion of the cover, sealing the confetti inside.
Steps Seven, Eight, Nine:
Die cut a piece of green cardstock with the scalloped die. Stamp the wording and cut it down to desired size.
Cut the blue cardstock 8″H x 9″W and fold in half. Cut the patterned paper 3 3/4″H x 8 3/4″W. Adhere both pieces together. Place the green cardstock piece on the center of the shaker and wrap it around to the back of the shaker and tape it on both sides. Adhere the shaker to the base card with tape.
For the envelope, die cut two pieces of the blue patterned paper, one piece for the top and bottom from the yellow patterned paper and one of the circle pieces (there’s actual two on the die) from the green patterned paper. Cut one piece of the multi-colored patterned paper for the front.
Steps Ten, Eleven, Twelve, Thirteen:
Apply tape to both sides of the blue patterned papers on the score line.
Repeat with the top and bottom pieces. Adhere the side pieces together.
Make two holes on back of the envelope as shown. Attach the two circles with brads. Cut a piece of embroidery thread 10″ and wrap around the circles for closure.
Die cut the words from yellow cardstock and cut the shadow part of the dies from blue cardstock. Adhere both pieces together with glue, and then glue them to the front of the envelope as shown.
