I was delighted to be asked to design and create the wedding favor boxes for my favorite niece’s wedding reception.
She became engaged and decided on the wedding date, planned the wedding in a matter of days. Since I was already planning to visit right before the ceremony, it made sense to pre-cut everything and assemble all while there. My niece’s style is “classy”, not glitzy. The “Bracket Box” die template from Spellbinders Paper Arts™ was perfect. With the addition of Petaloo™ pre-made paper flowers the assembly was a breeze.
Supplies:
- Off white cardstock (as many sheets as the number of boxes you want to make)
- Various shades of med/dark green card stock scraps for leaves
- Scor-Tape™
- Beacon QuickGrip™ Adhesive
- 15 packages of Petaloo™ Paper Flowers (Teal was the bridal color)
- Dies: Spellbinders’™ LF-010 Bracket Box die template
- Various sizes of rose leaves
- Spellbinders’™ Grand Calibur™ Die cut & embossing machine
Instructions:
- Die cut and emboss 150 boxes.
- Die cut at least one tiny rose leaf sprig and one or two large rose leaves per box.
- Assemble the boxes with Scor-Tape.
- Attach the leaves and one Petaloo™ flower to the top of each box with Beacon QuickGrip™ adhesive.
Inside the boxes, I added off-white paper shred, a long skinny teal paper note: “Wishing you Hugs & Kisses” and Hershey’s® Hugs and Kisses candies.
