Hello everyone! Martha Lucia here with a quick technique to share with you on how to watercolor your creations using classic inks pads, brush paints and some creativity.
The size of my card is 3″ x 6″ when it is closed. To make this I used a piece of Crumb Cake Card Stock of 6″ x 6″ and I made scored at 3″.
Materials:
- Crumb Cake Card Stock
- Watercolor paper
- Tangelo Twist Card Stock
- Tea lace Paper Doily
- Vivid Vases Stamp by Stampin Up
- Aqua painter or brush paint
- Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
- Soft Suede Classic Ink
- Melon Mambo Classic Ink
- Mint Macaron Classic Ink
- Daffodil Delight Classic Ink
- Itty Bitty Accent Punch – Flower
- Sequins
- Snail Adhesive and Dimensionals
Instructions:
Using the Soft Suede Classic Ink stamp the flower vases on your card base. If you want you can cut off the the sentiment or you can cover it with a banner.
Now, using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink stamp the vases on a piece of watercolor paper. Since the piece of the paper is smaller than the stamp, you can cover some images and convert the sentiment into two lines.
Color your images using the classic ink pads in different colors and the aqua painter or a brush paint. If you want you can use the lightest color as the background of the entire image.
Cut the border of your doily, cut a little banner and assemble you card. As final touch add a little flower with a sequin on the center.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this technique and try it in your projects. The watercolor technique is very easy and bring a lot of possibilities; watercoloring is an artistic expression. Remember to come back and visit us often! We’re always up to something crafty. See you soon!
