These wood ornaments are perfect to turn into magnets. They’re lightweight so all you need to do is adhere a small magnet to the backs and you’re ready to go! Create a large tag as your base and add lots of bling using templates by Ann Butler for Rhinestone Genie. I hope you give them a try. Crafty hugs, Lisa~
Steps One, Two, Three:
To create our Valentine magnets for mom, cut you paper as follows: Red cardstock 3 3/4″ x 6″, Diamond patterned paper 3 5/8″ x 5 7/8″, Pink Dotted patterned paper 3 1/8″ x 5 5/8″, and the Black and Red patterned paper 3 1/2″ x 5 1/2″. Adhere the papers together to make he tags.
Die cut the swirl from Red glitter paper and a 1 1/4″ circle from Silver glitter paper. Using a computer or stamps for the name tag and cut out with a 7/8″ circle die. Adhere the name tag papers together and add a Red bow.
Using the large tag template, Red rhinestones, and the adhesive paper, apply them to the tag with a dry, hot iron. To see how to use the Rhinestone Genie template, watch my video here~
Steps Four, Five, Six:
Create a small banner from Pink cardstock and patterned paper. Adhere the papers and add a word sticker on top. Adhere Red and Silver ribbons to the back of the banner. Attach a 5″ candy stick to the banner, and then adhere it to the tag. To finish this tag, adhere the swirl to the top of the tag. Add a small strip of removable tap to the back of the magnet and attach it to the tag.
Cut two tags 1 3/4″ x 3 1/2″ from Red cardstock and patterned paper. Repeat step two for the name tag using patterned paper for the large circle. Adhere them together.
Using the small tag template, clear rhinestones, and the adhesive paper, apply them to the tag with a dry, hot iron. Trim the tag around the rhinestones and adhere it to the Red tag. To finish this tag, Attach the name tag to the jar magnet with Red & White twine and add a bow to the top. Adhere ribbon to the bottom of the large tag. Add some ribbon and a “kiss” sticker to the small tag, and then adhere it to the large tag. See the finished photos for placement if needed.
