I have always loved creating pinwheels in my childhood and even now as a adult. Now, they are so easy to make with dies to cut them out. To decorate I used brand new stencils designed by Ann Butler for StencilGirl. Get your stencils out and take a trip back to your childhood so you can enjoy the whirling wonders of stenciled pinwheels. Have fun! Lisa~

Steps One, Two, Three:
Cut three pieces of pink, yellow and green cardstock 3″ x 3″ and adhere them to a piece of white cardstock. This will give them a little more stability. Cut the squares out.
Using the Stencil & Stamp Tool from Sizzix, attach the stencil to the tool, place the pink cardstock under the stencil and apply the Passionate Pink ink to the stencil with a blending brush.
Repeat step 2 and apply the Sweet Mango ink to the next stencil
NOTE: If you don’t have the Sizzix tool, you can stencil your cardstock by placing it on your work table and tape your stencil on top.
Steps Four, Five, Six:
Repeat steps 2 & 3 adding the Christmas Pine ink to the star portion of the heart stencil.
Cut three pieces of darker shades of cardstock. Stencil them with the Obsidian ink and the circle stencil as shown in step 5. You don’t need to add white cardstock for stability with these pieces.
Cut a piece of white cardstock 4″ x 6″. Place the cardstock under the star stencil and apply the Wild Dandelion ink. Set it aside for now.
Steps Seven, Eight, Nine:
Using the pinwheel dies, cut out the cardstock pieces as shown in step 7. Adhere the triangles to the pinwheels.
Assemble the pinwheels and place a brad in the centers to hold them together. Attach the ribbons and the pinwheels to paper straws with hot glue gun.
To create the shaker, trace the flower shaker cover on the stenciled cardstock and cut it out. Place the cover on the stenciled cardstock and pull some of the adhesive paper to hold it in place. Add the embellishments and remove the remainder of the adhesive paper to seal it closed. Poke a hole in the top and add some green ribbon.
To finish the project, attach the shaker to the vase and add yellow ribbon around the top. Put some shredded confetti into the vase and add the pinwheels.
