I created this Shaker Necklace with Nested Hexagon Stamps from Ann Butler Designs for my recent Facebook Live. When I first saw them, I thought my head was going to explode with fun ideas on what you could do with them. My thought to create a shaker necklace was just one idea but you can use them for so many different things. I hope you check them out on Ann’s website and create some awesome projects of your own! Have fun~ Lisa
Supplies for Stamped Shaker Necklace
Check out the full list of supplies at the end of this post.
Step One:
Remove the center from the plaid stamp and stamp it onto a small piece of foam core board with Wild Wisteria inkpad. Using an Exacto knife, cut out the center first and then cut out the whole image.
Step Two:
Cut a piece of window plastic slightly larger than the hexagon and adhere it with E6000 glue. Cut off the excess plastic.
Step Three:
Place both charms on a jump ring. Use a needle with some floss to attach the charms. Run the needle up through the center of the hexagon from the back and tie them off. Cut off the excess floss.
Step Four:
Fill the hexagon with some small beads, confetti or some other kind of filler.
Step Five:
Using the flower hexagon stamp, stamp it onto a small piece of white cardstock with the Passionate Pink inkpad. Cut the image out and adhere to the back of the foam core with E6000.
Step 6:
To finish, use a glue gun to adhere the lavender braided trim along the outside of the foam core. Attach a heart shaped bail to the front with E6000. Add a chain, ribbon or braided hemp cord to hang the hexagon. So easy and so much fun!!!
