Steps One, Two, Three:
Gather assorted color and widths of ribbon in colors that will complement your journal. Use some trims if desired also. This project is perfect for left over bits of ribbon.
Check to make sure ribbons coordinate with journal cover.
Measure and cut ribbon to approzimately eight inches. You can cut them longer for a larger journal. The one I am using is six inches high by eight inches wide.
Steps Four, Five, Six:
Iron ribbons if needed.
Fold ribbons in half and press.
Do this for all of your ribbons.
Steps Seven, Eight, Nine:
Start placing ribbons onto book ring in desired order.
Wrap a piece of yarn about a half inch down from the book ring around the ribbons. I use a piece of decorative yarn that was used in the cover of my journal to tie it all together.
Tie the yarn off and secure with a dab of glue.
Step Ten:
Open book ring up and attach to journal.
