Embossing is one of the most elegant and sophisticated techniques. Today I combined embossing and ombre technique in a single project. It was easy; for this I only used Versamark Ink and Memento Ink, in other words pigment ink and dye ink. Come with me and see how this Clear and simple model of a card can be easily made.
- Take a piece of very vanilla card stock and stamp a border image using Versamark Ink and Gold Embossing Powder. Melt the powder with the heat tool.
- Sponge over the stamped images using Tangerine Memento Ink and a Jumbo Dauber. Start with the bottom part to intensify the color until you have the different tones for the ombre look. Don’t be afraid to use Memento Ink in a different way, you can apply this ink with a brayer or with sponge or blending tools like I made in this card.To create this ombre effect, just start from the bottom part in circular motions with the jumbo sponge dauber and go up. Always start from the bottom or from the top because with this you will have the dark color at the beginning and the degrade effect. Also with the jumbo daubers you can control easily the intensity of the color.
- Stamp the sentiment using Versamak and Gold Embossing Powder. Melt the powder with the heat tool. Stamp the complement of the sentiment in a separate piece of very vanilla card stock following the same steps.
- Paste the decorated layer over the card base using Tear It! Tape and the complement sentiment with dimensionals.
Easy and fun and the best part is that you can experiment these techniques using different stamps and colors of ink.
See you soon!
