As crafters, we’re always looking for some fun, new products to try and I have found some awesome new stuff to share. These new reposition stamps from Stampendous, called FransFormers (a little play on the owner’s first name, Fran) can actually be repositioned! You can see the difference on my card. The sunflower image and the “friend” image are the same stamp, I just changed the size. Also, the saying image at the bottom of the card was a straight line in the package but I curved the image when I stamped it on my card. These new stamps are so much fun and they have a variety of different ones on the Stampendous website. I really hope you give these a try!!! Lisa~
Supplies for Hello Friend Double Z Card
Check out the full list of supplies at the end of this post.
Step One:
Cut and score the papers as follows: Orange Dotted Patterned Paper (base card) – 5 1/4″ x 12″ score at 3″ and 6″. Green Cardstock- 4 1/2″ x 11 1/2″ score at 2 7/8″ and 5 3/4″. Orange Cardstock- 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and 2 3/4″ x 4 1/4″ (2). Green Patterned Paper- 4″ x 5 1/4″ and 4″ x 2 1/2″ (2). Layer and adhere the Orange cardstock and the Green patterned papers to the Green cardstock. Set the Yellow Dotted paper to the side for now.
Step Two:
Reposition the sunflower stamp to a smaller size approximately 4″ x 2 3/4″. You want to make sure it’s small enough to fit in the middle layer so the card can close. Stamp it with a black inkpad onto white cardstock. Using the black inkpad, stamp out “friend” and the three flowers. Next, stamp the square border image and the word “hello”.
Step Three:
Using a black inkpad, stamp the large sunflower, small sunflower, and the leaves onto white cardstock. Watercolor all of the images and cut them out. Go over the images with a glitter pen to give them a little bit of sparkle.
Note- The stamp set comes with different images to use for the centers of the flowers and you can also reposition the leaves if you want.
Step Four:
Cut out the border letters. Cut a piece of hemp cord approximately 7″. Tie a knot on each end, adhere the letters on the hemp cord and place two mini clothespins on each end. To finish the card, adhere the stamp images to the layered papers. See the finished photo for placement.
Now you’re ready to attach all the layered papers to the card base. Adhere the large part of the top layer to the smaller part of the card base and then the smaller part of the top layer to the larger part of the card base. Reposition the sentiment image into a curve right above the smaller sunflower. See the finished photo if needed.
