So, I thought I would try different techniques with the foil to see the possibilities…there are so many…

First embossing…as there are many ways to do this. First off…

Use an embossing folder for stunning results. The first picture above is the right side of the foil and the second photo above is the back side (which is silver and give even more uses) of the KS Metals Foil embossed using an embossing folder, each are stuning and perfect for any project.

Next you can emboss with Texture sheets. I have so many from working with Makin’s Clay for over 15 years…they are a plastic sheets with a design…you can do with with a die cutting machine simply by adding shims as needed…check out the results below.

The picture above on the left shows the Testure Sheets from Makin’s Clay and KS Metals Foil and the photo on the right shows how great they emboss with the KS Foils. Oh so many possibilities!

To emboss with the Texture Sheets simply use a die cutting machine such as a Sizzix Big Shot…be sure to add some shims as needed for the desired results. I love these! The Texture Sheets are an all over pattern which is great for oh so many projects!

Next, you can emboss with embossing ink and embossing powder…on the KS Foils…oh so easy, check it out.

First photo above simply stamp on KS Foils with a pigment ink.

Second photo above, apply embossing powder.

Last photo above, heat set. This is so cool!

You can also die cut with the KS Foils as it cuts like butter…

Second photo above, run through die cutting machine,

Third photo above, the results are perfect.

You can use steel rule dies, wafer thin dies or an electronic die cutting machine…it is up to you as they all work perfedtly!

You can also stamp right on the KS Foils…

The photo on the left shows placing the stamp where you want it.

The photo on the right shows the KS Foil stamped…you must use a solvent for the stamping impression to work.

As all of you know I LOVE FOILING…and tried it on the KS Foils…YES it works! Oh my goodness…so cool!

First photo above shows that you simply apply Deco Foil Transfer Gel Duo to stamp with a make-up sponge.

Second photo shows that you simply let it dry.

Place Deco Foil on top of foil and rub.

Pull the deco foil off to see how cool it transfers to the KS Foils.

The second photo shows that you can simply reapply the Deco Foil to the KS Foil where needed ultil it is all foiled.

Third photo shows end result…oh so cool! Play with different stamps, Deco Foils and the KS Foils for one of a kind results…oh my!

There are so many different ways to use the foils from KS Metals…play with them and see what works…as you can paint them, use alcohol inks, try it with a Gel Plate…the possibilities are endless.

I did create a card with the items I created from playing with the KS Foils…

KS Metals Aluminum Foil Hero Shot

Simply used a die cut balloon which I embossed with embossing powder.

The candles were embossed with a texture sheet and die cut…

Then I stamped Birthday Wishes with a solvent ink and die cut it to fit the card. Oh so easy…

Don’t you just love this new product from KS Metals….
