For this card I included two of my favorite things~ An interactive element and sunflowers. Sunflowers always bring a smile to my face and cards that actually do something are just so much fun! Another reason to love this Hello Sunshine interactive card is because it’s so easy to create with products from Lawn Fawn. I hope you give it a try. Crafty hugs, Lisa~
Supplies for Hello Sunshine Interactive Card
Steps One, Two, Three:
Die cut one small circle in white cardstock and one in the patterned paper. Next, die cut the handle in white cardstock and the small oval shape in printer/copy paper. Use a scrap of teal cardstock to die cut the arrow piece shown in step 4. Die cut one of the larger circle in dotted patterned paper and set it aside for step 3.
Fold the oval shape along the score lines. Adhere it on the backside of the patterned paper right along the slit of the small circle.
On white cardstock stamp the small sunflower three times and the large sunflower once with a black inkpad. Stamp the sentiment in the center of the large circle and the smaller images all around. Color the images with watercolor pencils, and then cut the sunflowers out with scissors.
Steps Four, Five, Six:
Lay the large sunflower on top of the small circle. Using a pencil mark the sunflower along the slit in the circle, and then cut the slit in the sunflower with scissors. Adhere the arrow piece to the handle and then, adhere the handle to the backside of the circle and glue the sunflower on top aligning the slits.
Feed the handle of the small circle through the slit in the larger circle and slide it back and forth to manipulate the papers so it will open and close. Once it’s working adhere strips of foam tape on the back along the stitching line of the circle.
Cut the pieces of the Watering Can die set from various colors of cardstock (see photo). To finish, cut a 6″ x 6″ card base from yellow cardstock and then, cut a piece of patterned paper 5 3/4″ x 5 3/4″ to adhere on top. Add the remainder of the elements to the card front as shown in the finished photo below.
