Hello dear friends, this is Carmen with you today! Do you send Happy New Year cards? Christmas and Holiday cards are common, but I like the idea of sending a new years card to someone that may have had a challenging year. Today I’ve put together a quick tutorial for the Bella Crafts Publishing Design Team, so you can create your own card in a jiffy!
Here’s the few supplies you will need….
- Strathmore mixed media card
- Americana Acrylics in Wisteria, Champagne Gold and Charcoal Grey
- Gold Metallic Marker
- The Crafter’s Workshop Stencils
- I first painted a coat of Americana Acrylic in Wisteria over the front of the card. Once dry I applied the Champagne Gold with a sponge using the Oblong spencil. To help keep the other half of the card clean, use some painter’s tape across the scored area.
2. One of my favorite stencils (as you can see by all the paint on it) is the Time Travel stencil. I used it on the card with Charcoal Grey.
3. Using markers on stencils is a quick and easy way to create design and messages. A gold marker with the Art Deco Numbers and Alphabet give a festive look to this new year’s message.
The gold really pops on top of the Wisteria color and the glittery squares complete the art deco look.
Make sure you come back often and see what creations the Design Team is up to!
Blessings,
