I don’t make a lot of masculine projects but as soon as I saw these stamps from Stampendous, I knew exactly what I wanted to create. My Gone Fishing frame is so simple to make and it’s sure to put a smile on the face of your favorite man. Enjoy! Lisa~
Supplies for Gone Fishing Frame

Step One:
Trace the pattern onto three 12″ x 12″ pieces of cardboard and cut out. The link for the pattern is below in the supplies section.
Step Two:
Cut a piece of patterned paper 4″ x 6″. Next, make the sign on a computer and print it out. Cut it to size, 3″ x 5″. Run the die with blue cardstock through die cutting machine. Adhere the corners to the sign and then glue the sign to the patterned paper.
Note: You can also replace the sign with a photo.
Step Three:
Cover the front of the frame with patterned paper and adhere the sign to the back of the frame as shown.
Step Four:
Using the black inkpad, stamp the images onto white cardstock, color with chalk pencils and cut out. Cut two pieces of 24 gauge sliver wire approximately 4″ long. Attach the wire to the backs of the two gnomes with poles and then attach the fish and bobber. Apply foam tape to the backs of all three gnomes. Cut three pieces of burlap 2″ x 2″ and adhere to the frame. Attach the images to the frame as shown in the finished photo. Adhere the two other pieces of the cardboard to the back of the frame.
Step Five:
For the fishing pole, use a stick 6″ long. Wrap the hemp cord around the bottom of the stick and glue in place. Wrap the wire around the bobbin approximately ten times. Next, wrap the wire three times on the stick leaving 6″ from the top. Thread a bead on the wire and then thread the wire back through the top of the bead to secure in place. Create a hook on the end of the wire and cut off any excess wire. Add some hot glue to the finished fishing pole and adhere it to the front of the frame as shown.
