The Trims add the perfect touch to this Easy Quilted Wedding Journal!
Steps One, Two, Three:
Gather your Satin and Trims which are available at Wal-mart, so it makes it easy to get the same supplies.
Cut 2 pieces of satin and structure about 7″ x 10″.
Iron the structure onto the wrong side of both pieces of satin.
Steps Four, Five, Six:
Layer satin with structure and batting in the following order: one piece of sating right side down, batting on top, followed with satin right side up.
Quilt as desired. I chost to do simple straight diagonal lines about a 1/2″ apart.
Both pieces stitched.
Steps Seven, Eight, Nine:
Die cut two journal covers from the quilted satin.
Place the binding edges toward each other. Layer and attach about 2 inches the two smaller trims together for the closure. Glue trim on three sides as shown adding the closure in the middle on the back cover as shown.
Add three pieces of elastic for the journal inserts. I chose to have the knots on the outer binding as they will be covered with trim.
Steps Ten, Eleven, Twelve:
On the inside binding, use glue to secure.
Attached wide trim to the outside of the binding. Let dry completly.
Die cut papers for the journal signatures and place inside the journa.
