Good morning friends. I am so excited that Spring is here. Although we have not had the Spring-like temps here in the Texas Hill Country I am still enjoying the sights of Spring. The flowers and trees are blooming and everything is green. I am also looking forward to Easter. I love decorating for the Holidays and Easter is no exception. I like pastel colors; mainly pink (my favorite color) as well as yellows, greens, and blues just to name a few.
Today I am sharing my Easter mantel with you. I have been looking at Pinterest trying to get ideas on what to do. I found a couple of pallet ideas but since it has been raining and the wood was wet I used a canvas instead.
I started off painting a canvas with a light yellow paint. Then I painted a pink bunny in the middle. I punched a scallop circle out of some pink check cardstock for the tail.
I then used some solid and pattern color cardstock and die cut banner pieces. I spelled out the word Easter.
I added a piece of twine to the top of the canvas and adhered the banner.

I was out shopping and found a couple of really cute bunnies at Hobby Lobby and these cute little unfinished square baskets in the dollar section at Target. I added my bunnies that I use every year in the middle and some small plastic eggs.
Because it looked a little plain I added a bigger banner across the mantel spelling out Happy Easter.
I hope you enjoyed my post today. Have a wonderful week, Friends!
I have a need to make a bunny now, Larissa! Such a cute banner :)
