Hello friends! This is Carmen with you again stopping by to share with you a quick and fun project for a Dog Treats Mason Jar. If you have a special little furry friend in your life this is a wonderful gift for them. It’s even one you can do with children.
Here are the few supplies I used…
- Mason Jar
- Americana Decor Chalky Finish – Serene
- Americana Acrylics – Honey Brown
- Americana Decor Varnish – Light Satin
- Glue
- sponge brushes
- #5 round brush
I first applied 3 coats of the Serene Chalky Finish paint to the jar. The easiest way I found to turn the jar was by placing my hand inside of the jar and turning it that way. I also painted the lid with the Honey Brown paint. I waited to glue the center part of the lid until I had painted it. Then I adhered it with some tacky glue.
Once the jar was dry, I used my #5 round brush to paint on little paw prints with the Honey Brown paint.
Once all the paint was dry, I brushed on the Light Satin finish varnish to the lid and jar. This gives it a very soft look and seals the paint.
This little jar is so much cuter than regular bag of treats. You can even personalize it more by painting on the dogs name or even your favorite colors.
I hope you enjoyed this quick and easy project. Make sure you come back for more inspiration!
Blessings,
