Happy New Year! I’m so excited to share with you my Creative Idea Journal for 2021! Journals are great place to store your thoughts and feelings, but I especially love creative journals where I can write down project ideas, tips and other fun stuff. I hope you create one for yourself~ Lisa

Supplies for Idea Journal

Step One:

Cover papers with Deco Foil and run it through the heat laminator. Peel off the foil when done.

Step Two:

Color the floral paper with chalk pencils. Cut paper 5 3/8″ x 6″.

Step Three:

Run two more papers through laminator using green and gold Deco Foils. Then, cut two strips of the star paper 5 3/8″ x 1 1/4″. Cut one strip 5″ x 3/4″ to cover the top of the notepad. Cut last piece 4″ x 5 3/4″ and score 1/4″ across bottom and left side of paper for the pocket.

Step Four:

Adhere the two strips of star pattern to the top and bottom of floral paper.

Step Five:

Cut green cardstock 8 1/2″ x 11″. Score at 5 3/8″ and 5 5/8″. Adhere floral paper to the front of the cardstock.

Step 6:

Use Cricut Maker to create label from pink cardstock. Cut one strip from green cardstock 5 3/8″ x 1 and one strip from star paper 5 1/8″ x 3/4″. Attach brads on each end and adhere label. Adhere label and pink flower to front cover.

Step 7:

For pen holder, cut green cardstock 3 1/2″ x 3/4″ and star paper 3 1/2″ x 1/2″. Wrap around a pen, glue ends together and then adhere to inside of journal. Use double-sided tape to adhere notepad. Use double-sided tape to left side and bottom of the pocket. To finish pocket cut a strip of pink cardstock 5 1/4″ x 1″ and floral paper 5 1/4″ x 1/2″.
