Hi Bella fans! Lisa Marie Jimenez here, showing you how to make this Angel Wing Suncatcher.
The holiday season is just around the corner and will be here before we know it. If you are like me, you need cute “little” gifts to give for gift exchanges, a co-worker, neighbor or just because. This suncatcher is easy to make and is perfect to give as gift.

- Earth Safe Finishes Chalk Paint; Cheesecake, Cotton Candy Pink

- Chandelier Octagon Pink Crystal, 14mm
- Assorted Crystal and Pink Beads; 10mm or larger
- Silver Bead Caps (2)
- Round Silver Beads, 4mm (4)
- Jumpring, 12mm
- Silver Wire, 18/20 Ga
- Hemp or Clear Fishing Line
- Spray on Clear Coat Sealer, Satin
Tools:
- Round Nose Pliers
- Chain Nose Pliers
- Flat Nose Pliers (2 Sets)
- Cutters
- Scissors
- Paint Brush
- Steel Wool, Fine Grit
How to make this Angle Wing Suncatcher:
Paint the angel wing pendant with the Cheesecake Chalk paint. Allow to dry. Brush on the Cotton Candy Pink Chalk Paint to accent the wings. Do not cover the entire piece with the pink paint.
When paint is completely dry; use fine grit steel wool to distress the wings, allowing the metal to show through. When you have achieved the distress look desired, spray the entire piece with a clear coat sealer.[Tweet “Learn to make this DIY Angel Wing Suncatcher with this full tutorial. “]
Cut 4 inch strip of wire. Run the end through the chandelier drop and make a wrapped bail. Do not cut the long end of the wire. Load beads onto the wire, make a wrapped loop, trim and tuck end. Cut another 4 inch strip of wire. Make a wrapped loop at one end. Before starting to wrap the loop, add wire to the loop on the chandelier drop. Complete the wrapped loop. Do not cut the long end of the wire. Load the remainder of the beads onto the wire in random order. Make a wrapped loop at the end of the wire. Use a jumpring to attach the bead dangle to the bottom of the angel wing.
Cut a small amount of wire, run the wire through the octagon chandelier bead. Make a wrapped loop. Do not cut the long end of the wire. Run the wire through the center ring on the angel wing. Make a wrapped loop. Use hemp cord or clear fishing line to hang your Angel Wing Sun catcher.
The color of the suncatcher is easily customizable, just change the accent paint and bead color. I have my suncatcher hanging in my studio window and will be making several more for gifts. Who will you be making this Angel Wing Suncatcher for?
