I tried several surfaces to make these Glasslets Micro Beads Christmas Coasters…wood coasters, tiles, plastic and mat board. Mat board was the winner, as they stacked up nicely, don’t take up a lot of room and the main reason was they seemed to the work best with all types of items placed on them, plus I like that the back side of the mat board would not scratch surfaces.

Let’s get started.

Step One:

With your cardstock right side up, this way you can look at the pattern of the cardstock and see what area you want for your coasters. Then, draw the outline for your coasters and cut out.

Step Two:

Apply a generous amount of mod podge on the top side of the coaster, being sure to go all the way to the edges without going over onto the sides. Place cut cardstock on top. Apply more mod podge on top of cardstock.
