You don’t have to be a master at watercolor to make these watercolor flowers. They are super easy to make and look AWESOME!!
I started with a piece of watercolor paper and used a stencil and molding paste to get some texture on the paper.
Next, I got my watercolors, ink and stamps ready.
I used my fan brush to splatter the watercolors onto my paper. The texture from the stencil and molding paste helped the paint to move around. I splattered yellow, light green and light orange watercolors all over the paper and concentrated specific colors in small areas on all 4 corners of the paper.
When the paint was dry, I cut it into 4 separate sections. Then I stamped a flower on top of 3 of the sections with India ink.
Is that awesome or what?? I am so in love with these flowers! They came out sooo much better than I thought!! The splatter is the thing that makes them pop!
I can see so many possibilities with the splatter technique! And wouldn’t these flowers be awesome in a frame in your house? I think that’s what I might do with one of them!
Thanks for visiting!! I hope you splatter something today!!
