Seaside Reminder Memo Board

I absolutely love everything about the beach! It’s the one place that I always go to rejuvenate my soul. Since I can’t be there all the time, I like to create things for my home that remind me of being there. This memo board will make a nice addition in my studio and keep me organized too. Step One:

Apply two coats of Aqua acrylic paint around the sides and back of the cork board. Let dry.

Step Two:

Lay a 12″ x 12″ piece of patterned paper over the cork part of the board and cut it to size. Next, adhere the paper with a tape runner. Tie a bow around the top with the tulle and hot glue a shell on top. Adhere the ribbon trim to the bottom and the washi tape on top.

Step Three:

Die cut the flower two times from Light Green and Blue cardstock. Die cut a 3 1/4″ circle from Dark Blue cardstock. Adhere all the flower pieces to the circle, leaving the top part of the petals open showing the Dark Blue cardstock.

Step Four:

Die cut the sun and flip flops from Blue cardstock and Yellow glitter paper, and then die cut the 3 1/4″ circle from the Light Green cardstock. Adhere the sun pieces to the Light Green circle using the finished photo for placement. Next, cut the sentiment out three times from the Blue cardstock, adhere them together, and apply to the sun. Adhere the flip flops together and attach them to a small piece of white corrugated paper.

To finish, create the sign “Notes” on a computer and print it out. Decorate the cork board with the die cut pieces and add some fun embellishments like seashells, beachy buttons, and other fun stuff!
