Supplies for Birthday Wishes In A Hatbox

Steps One, Two, Three:

Following the manufacturer’s instructions, place the foil and toner sheet in a carrier sheet and run it through the Fuse machine. Add small pieces of foil to the sentiments and run them through the Fuse machine also.

Next, trace the pattern to the back side of the papers. Score and then cut them out.

Trace the “Insert” portion of the pattern on a piece of lavender cardstock score, and then cut it out. Using a blender brush, add the ink around the edges of the pieces.

Designer Note: The lid of the hatbox can be seen from both sides. Use two different patterns of the toner papers and adhere them together. See the different papers in step 3 (for the inside) and step 5 for the top.

Steps Four, Five, Six, Seven:

Cut a piece of lavender ribbon and adhere it to the card with a glue gun. Adhere the sentiment to the insert piece.

Using a glue gun, adhere the silver trim along the edges of the lid. Next, adhere the lace and flowers as shown.

Following the score marks on the pattern adhere the insert piece to the back part of the card, and then adhere the lid to the back only gluing the area as shown on the pattern.

To finish the card open the lid and adhere the insert only gluing the area that is shown on the pattern . This allows the insert to move up and down when you open and close it. Add a thin line of glue with the glue gun along the sides of the back piece, and then attach the front of the card. Do not glue the bottom of the card as it may interfere with the pull up.
