Every year I create a gift journal that helps me keep track of the gifts I buy for my three grandkids. I make pages for each one and add a pocket to keep my receipts. This year I used a Scoreboard die by Sizzix Designer Eileen Hull, and one of her other die sets to create the pockets. The pages can be removed so you can re-use the journal each year. Supplies for Holiday Gift Journal

Steps One, Two, Three:
The candy cane patterned paper is double-sided. Cut the 12″ x 12″ paper in half. Using a spray adhesive, adhere the patterned papers on each side of the white chipboard. Run the covered chipboard through a die cutting machine.
Layer the two rectangle dies and run them through the die cutting machine with light green, dark green and red cardstock, cutting two of each color. Next, die cut four stars from red glitter paper and two stars from silver metallic paper. Adhere the stars together. Die cut three pockets from double-sided patterned papers.
Cut three pieces of white cardstock 3″ x 4 1/2″. Adhere the cardstock pieces to the frames as shown in the photos above.
Steps Four, Five, Six:
Cut a piece of red cardstock 3 1/4″ x 4 3/4″. Using the bookbinding die, cut and fold along the score marks. Adhere three colored paperclips to the red cardstock with a glue gun. See photo above for placement. Apply double-sided tape as shown and adhere to the middle of the journal.
Attach the stars to the paperclips with silver thread. Adhere the gems to the tops of the stars. Add the pages to the journal as shown above.
Cut a piece of ribbon 26″ and attach it to the to the center of the journal. Next, cut the red glitter paper 4 1/4″ x 4 1/4″. Adhere the Santa image from the paper pack to the glitter paper. Add six red gems to the image and adhere it to the front of the journal with foam tape. Cover a white pom pom with glue, dip it into some glitter and adhere it to the hat. Use a glitter pen to the beard for some extra sparkle!
