Supplies for Lighted Christmas Tree Card

Check out the full list of supplies at the end of this post.

Step One:

Cut the papers as follows~ green cardstock (card base) 5″W x 11 1/2″H and fold in half. Patterned paper 4 7/8″W x 5 5/8″H (for front layer), red cardstock 4 7 /8″W x 5 5/8″H (for inside), and patterned paper 5″H x 5 1/2″H (for inside).

Step Two:

Print the digital image out on a piece of white cardstock. The image is sized for an A2 card, giving you the option to print four on one piece of cardstock. Trim the image to 4 1/4″W x 5 1/4″H. Apply the rhinestones to the image using the matching template. For instructions on using the Rhinestone Genie template and creating this card, check out the video here.

Step Three:

Adhere the patterned paper and the tree image to the card base. Decide where you want the lights. Open the card base and poke the holes through all three layers.

Step Four:

Insert the lights through each hole from the inside of the card. Tape the lights and the wires down as shown to keep them all in place.

Step Five:

Apply the foam tape around the wires as shown. Attach the patterned paper on top to cover the light unit. To finish, adhere the red cardstock to the inside of the card and add a sentiment if desired. On the front, adhere the red twine and silver thread to a tag, and then adhere to the card. Layer the word sticker with green cardstock and add it with foam tape. Place ornament stickers on the tree. Wrap the silver ribbon around the bottom of the card and tie a bow.

NOTE: Use up those patterned paper packs! *The sentiment, tag, stickers, and patterned papers are from a holiday paper pack.
