Stamp and Stencil on Wood

This is a great project for beginners that want to stamp and stencil on wood

If you’re looking for a project to stamp and stencil on wood for the first time, this project is for you! Or, if you’re experienced with stamping on wood you’ll love this project also because it’s something you can create in about an hour or so. Either way I hope you give it a try. Have fun! Lisa~

Supplies for Colorful Wooden Note Holder

Check out the full list of supplies at the end of this post.

Step One:

Lightly sand the wood and apply two layers of white acrylic paint. Let dry between coats.

Step Two:

Apply Pixie Spray to the back of the stencil and lay stencil on the wood. Using blending brushes and inkpads, apply the ink to the wood. Cover the area with a paper towel and repeat this step on the top portion of the wood.

Step Three:

Ink up the floral stamp with a black inkpad and stamp the image twice as shown in the photo. Use a heat tool or blow dryer to dry the ink. By doing this, the ink won’t smear as you finish the project. Apply a light layer of spray sealer.

Step Four:

To finish the project, use a tape runner to add the paper lace. Die cut the border die twice with lavender patterned paper. Cut the paper to size and adhere on top of the paper lace. See finished photo for placement if needed. Attach flowers to the wood with glue gun. Create “Notes” with a computer or stamp it out onto colored cardstock and adhere it with tape runner. Add a note pad to finish the project.
