spring wreath lisa fulmer

A bit of blue sky, a hint of green grass, lilacs in the sunshine…this spring wreath is super quick and easy to make to get your front door season-ready.

Supplies:

  • 12″ Smoothfoam wreath
  • Oly*Fun fabrics
  • White appliqué pins
  • Scissors, thread

smoothfoam wreath

Cut some blue and green Oly*Fun sheets into strips. Wrap each strip around the wreath form, overlapping slightly and pinning to the back. Since this fabric is a bit sheer and you can see where the strips overlap, try to keep the wrapping even so the darker overlapping areas look spikey, like part of the design. I think the spikes look like sun rays.

Wrap green on the bottom and blue on the top, to look like grass and sky. This fabric doesn’t fray and it’s water-resistant, so it’s great for outdoor or indoor wreaths.

olyfun leaves

Cut leaves from folded pieces of the fabric, then pinch and pin them to the wreath in clusters as desired.

olyfun flowers

Cut, pinch and pin smaller flower petals the same way as the leaves, adding a narrow contrasting petal on top. Add an extra pin or two in the center to accent each flower. Pin a small loop of thread to the back of the wreath at the top for hanging.
