I must admit I am over the moon excited about my new stamp line with Unity Stamp Company. They have been one of my favorite things to play with for the past two months. If you have not seen my stamps yet they are featured in the Spring Issue of Bella Crafts Quarterly on the inside front cover with this ad……
and in three project within the magazine. You can also check them out at Unity Stamp Company on line. The stamps come in basic shapes of 1″ and 2″ squares and triangles that can be used in many different ways a few of which I will share with you here.
Pictured above is a baby quilt I created using the 2″ square stamps with Clearsnap Crafter’s Ink, which is machine washable after being heat set with an iron. The quilt measures 36″ x 36″ and was stamped out in a couple hours, then I backed it with batting and backing material and machine stitched it between the squares…..it was so easy to do and you can not tell that the squares are stamped, they look like individual fabric squares….I call this technique “Faux Quilting”, so fast and easy!
In the photo above I stamped the Plaid from the “Diamonds & Plaid” set in black and then stamped over with all the other 2″ stamps in pink, this technique gives great texture and makes room for so many possibilities.
I combined yellow card stock with the 1″ square and 2″ triangle “Leaves” stamp for the “Leaves all Over” 1″ and 2″ sets to create this quilted Jacobs Ladder pattern above, then I machine stitched it….the same could be done with yellow fabric for a quilt.
I simply used some of the 1″ squares and triangles with Clearsnap Crafter’s Ink to stamp out a fun design on this baby ones, went around each with some I Love to Create Scribbles Dimensional Paint and added glitter. Again so quick and easy….
I stamped out a background for this card with the 2″ Plaid from the “Diamonds & Plaid” set in black then over stamped in with the 2″ stripe from the “Stripe, Dot, Heart” set in pink. I used Spellbinders Elegant Labels 4 die to create the beautiful cuts in this card.
In the photo above I used the 1″ diamond square from the “Diamonds & Plaid” set to stamp out some squares onto this leather cuff, then I sprinkled on some embossing powder to give it some texture……
So these are just a few of the projects I have been working there are to many to post all of them here but if want to see more remember to check out the Spring Issue of Bella Crafts Quarterly to see the other 3 projects that feature these versatile stamps.
