Hello crafty friends, Martha Lucia here with you to share a different passion with you. You known me as cardmaker but for more than one year I am using my paper passion to express my love to God through the Bible Journal, using my stamps, inks , stencils and all the tools that I have as craft maker. Take a look at this page I created that demonstrates how to bible journal:
I created this bible journal page using a watercolor technique with Delicata Metallic Ink. This is a very simple technique that you can use in your cards too, but I decided to apply in this project to have a very shiny effect. The Delicata Ink comes in different metallic colors, I used the Celestial Copper.
The first thing that I did was give color to the background of my page. For this, I placed behind the bible page a piece of waxed paper and I applied distress ink over the entire page using a baby wipe. I applied the ink with soft touches with the wipe and let the paper dry naturally. Using Celestial Copper Delicata Ink, I stamped the flowers included on the stamp set Prayer Words, from Joy Clair Stamps and then with an aquapainter I distress the ink of the flowers. The Delicata Ink is a pigment ink but you can easily distress with a paint brush and water. Then I stamped the sentiments from the stamp set My Redeemer, also from Joy Clair.
Let me know what do you think about the Bible Journal and if you have any question, please also leave me a comment as well.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you were inspired here today!
