I love attending Quilt Market and seeing all the beautiful fabrics, quilts and possibilities. This year however I was actually attending and working in the KellyCraft Innovations Booth. They are manufacturer of my Clear Stamp Line EZ-De’s which are for Faux Quilting, where you are able to Stamp out a Quilt, thus the term “Faux”.
I was not sure how the Quilt Community would take to the idea of “Faux” Quilting as traditional quilters love love love their fabrics….but I was pleasantly surprised when they saw the possibilities of being able to stamp out a quilt and create their own fabric, after all they were still using fabric just in a different way.
The quilt pictured above used printed fabric and one 2″ Square Stamp,it took less then 1 hour to stamp out and used black Clearsnap Crafter’s Ink ;
which made it go quickly, So you are able to stamp out a quilt, add batting and a backing and have it done in an afternoon. Those who stopped by the booth loved this idea especially for their new customers who want to learn to quilt but are intimidated by the process.
The quilt pictured above here is another example of using assorted 2″ squares in different colors and
this one is using assorted 2″ squares right next to each other.
The beauty of these stamps is that they are Patent Pending and have no lip around the edge so they go together like puzzle pieces. They come in a variety of shapes to create endless possibilities……the stamp line was a hit at the show so be on the lookout for Clear EZ-De’s Stamps and also if you prefer Red Rubber I have a stamp line with Unity Stamp Company that is for Faux Quilting also!
