You’ve probably been hearing lots of us in the craft world talking about the CHA Mega Show coming up in a couple weeks. The Craft & Hobby Association’s annual trade show kicks off the new year – it’s where many manufacturers release new products for retailers, designers and other creative professionals to learn more about. Many of us will be demo-ing new products and conducting fun make-n-take projects for exhibitors on the show floor. Part of my own schedule includes being in Eileen Hull’s Paper Trail booth for a bit, where we’ll be making this cute little self-framing photo mat project!
I embellished a Photo Mat Art Board with Eileen’s Petal Power diecuts, adhered with 3-D Foam Squares and accented with doodly dots using Permapaque Markers. Later, I will add a photo in the window where I put orange cardstock as a placeholder. You can draw or paint whatever you like on the mat board; it has a really nice surface for many mediums – watercolor, acrylic, pencil, mixed media and more. By adding marker color to the edges and taping a ribbon hanger to the back, it can be self-framing. Super cute, fun and easy to make!
